Yesterday we went out to my parents place, as their place is always so pretty at this time of year. Their house is the house I grew up in, and it makes me so happy that I can share that special place with Archer.
My parents bought Archer a slide at a local recycling shop, and he had his first go on it today. He’s been into slides for a long time now, but never one like this. This slide is one that you would find attached to a swing-set, however my dad made it free-standing. He only needed assistance twice to climb up the ladder, then he was more than confident to do it himself.
My parents have had some new additions to their collection of animals of late, with some new hens, baby chicks and even a couple of cows. The baby chicks are the cutest little things, and the little ‘peep peep’ noise they make is adorable. I’m really excited, because we have a couple of chickens here, and they are currently sitting on some fertile eggs, so we may have baby chicks in the next couple of weeks too! Be sure to check back around the start of December to see the babies when they pop out of their shells!
As well as the new animal arrivals, springtime means a mass of colour at the old place. Rhododendrons that have been in the ground a decade longer than I’ve been alive turn into giant bubbles of white, pink, and red; attracting their fair share of wildlife, from bumblebees to all manner of beautiful birdlife. I managed to catch a photo of one of the bumblebees doing their thing, as well as a beautiful picture of a close up of one of the flower bells.
I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures I took yesterday. All of these photos were taken with my new iPhone 7 plus, with no editing required (with exception to the bumblebee pic, which required minor brightness and contrast correction).
I’m amazed at the quality of photos that this phone can take, and I look forward to taking heaps of amazing shots on it in the future. You can see more pics like these over on my Instagram, as well as my Twitter.
